Wood has many properties; feeling pain is not one of them. The campfire lit a cross of wood made with sticks and twine. As a teen, I tacked slips of paper with a list of my sins on a wooden cross. Lately, I more fully appreciate what and Who that action represented.

Being Satisfied with one’s self almost seems against nature. Are you satisfied? This is one thing I’ve come to know from years of observation . . . when we ladies are young and looking for a mate, we let our hair grow long then spend hours on our locks to help us catch the man of our dreams. And why not? We want to be looking our best, don’t we?
