God’s word is filled with keep-you active instructions for living a long and vibrant life. Sometimes life’s circumstances become overwhelming and we wilt into behavior that numbs us.
“… Choose you this day whom ye will serve … as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
There are always choices to make. Yesterday was one of those days for me. Do you know what I mean? Have you ever had one? Nothing life changing or threatening happened. Things that happened were disappointing, surprising in not so nice a way.
It seems there was some reason to put a candle under a bushel. Otherwise, the people wouldn’t be able to relate. It isn’t hard to light a candle, after all. There would be a fire burning from which a flame could be used to bring light to the building.
Mom’s take pride in their children and sometimes need to trust God more! If I’d known pilots’ natures, I’d have been certain of my son achieving his goal!
We probably can all agree to give God glory, thanks, honor, and praise. He’s altogether worthy to receive all those and more. But what of our stuff will we give to God?
