I have Five Ways We can Overcome Trials and Tribulations and live in God’s Peace! Oh, how many trials and tribulations have I overcome? I testify that no matter what it is, God is able to handle it and helps me overcome! He wants us to live in peace, and we can be of good cheer or He wouldn’t tell us to! We know He has overcome the world, and because He has, and we are in Him, then so can we! We can overcome!
When I was a teen, there was a taboo. It was called “fishing for compliments.”
Break the taboo and risk ridicule.
Maybe fishing for compliments was undignified, but a lot of us were just trying to survive. And sometimes a compliment seemed like the lifeline.
Comes the time in everyone’s life, when Help is needed! On the way back to Texas from a visit with my cousin in New Jersy, our car broke down in Georgia. Did I mention Ron and I were young then and we had three children in the car under the age of ten? HELP!
Food. Nothing brings families and friends together quite like food. Whether it is going out to eat, a pitch-in picnic, or fixing dinner at home food is one of the things that are always welcome to join us. I cannot remember a time I did not give thanks for the food before me either.
You never know what God will do to work an incident for your good!
On a short road trip to Texarkana, we passed through a little town we first lived in when God blasted us out of Irving to come to the beautiful country of Red River County, DeKalb, Texas. It brought back memories of playing ball.
What are memories for?
Memories, I love them. There are days I walk outside, close my eyes, and simply breathe. I FEEL everything around me, and yet I feel transported in time to another place, another age, another memory; all stemming from what I’ve perceived through my senses. It thrums through my whole being and heart. Images replayed; people no longer with me—whether bad or good—are clear and visible.
