All good things in your life come from God, not luck, and not karma, though reaping what you sow is a scriptural principle.To help is to assist, aid, lend a helping hand. It is a good thing, and therefore from God. I’ve been so blessed by all the help He’s sent to the South Texas and Louisiana Harvey victims.
God assigns the lane we’re to run this life’s race—and that lane is sometimes on the freeway or a country lane, but often it’s a narrow, rocky, dark road.
Christians are told Jesus came to serve, not be served. To follow Christ is to be like Him, follow His examples and serve others. As a kid that was a strange notion e because I equated service with being a servant–which of course, I was not. It took a while to realize one can serve without being a servant in the negative sense of the word.
Being Satisfied with one’s self almost seems against nature. Are you satisfied? This is one thing I’ve come to know from years of observation . . . when we ladies are young and looking for a mate, we let our hair grow long then spend hours on our locks to help us catch the man of our dreams. And why not? We want to be looking our best, don’t we?
