Are you a good example?
I can see your wheels turning, and you are wondering “an example for what?” I’d answer, “For living a good Christian life.” Do you walk the walk seven days per week or just barely limp a weak walk? Can your children, family, and friends see Christ and hear His words through your words and actions? Or are you different at church than the rest of the week?
Are you missing a loved one at Christmas? One who has gone on to be with the Lord in heaven? Focus on the birth of the Babe in the manger, God’s gift to mankind. Let Jesus Christ bring you comfort and joy on this special day.
A friend recently challenged me to pray for what the new year would hold. I haven’t thought as much as I ought to on the topic, but here’s some of what I got as I processed reflections and phrases, Words to take into the New Year. Finish – wrap up series. the word Reclaim – My November novel for NaNoWriMo was called Reclaim the Darklands.
Growing up I had a strict mother, and I saw no reason to be thankful for that. I had friends whose mothers let them stay out late with no curfew. Some had mothers that I had never even met. Other friends had parties where parents were nowhere in sight. Not me.
God can’t decide as we are equally love by Him. And there is my dilemma. In my judgement, the person who committed the murder deserves to pay for this atrocity. But God states those without sin cast the first stone.
