Even in my struggles, I choose JOY!
We live in a culture of excess. As a whole, we have an excess of food, possessions, and activities in our lives. Minimalism has become a new buzzword, and many people are scaling back. But as a Christian, what should our perspective be on this whole issue of excess?
Some go camping to reconnect with nature or with God. I spent two weeks in the city of Philadelphia and found a part of myself that had quietly slipped away.
Just as sin places an appetite in us to do wrong, so God gives us an appetite to hunger and thirst for His righteousness.
Friendships are such a special gift from the Lord and God can use them mightily in our lives. They help us grow; they help us show Christ’s love to others; so many things are reflected in our friendships.
Are people more important to you than your own opinion? Your own feelings? People should matter more. After all, Jesus came and died to save them.
