Do you get star struck when you meet famous people? Many people do. We set celebrities up on pedestals and forget that though they are talented super stars they are still deep down just ordinary people like you and me. Well, all of them except one. One is a bright, shining star.

Star Struck by NK Wilkerson

One of my highly talented, intelligent cousins has a career in law that has taken him all the way up to Executive Vice President at the CMA (Country Music Association). The stories he tells of meeting this singer and that one are phenomenal. If there is a concert in Nashville, he and his lovely wife are there. He even helped make sure everyone got on stage at the proper time during a recent awards show. Knowing everyone is his business and he does it exemplary. Everyone loves his infectious personality.

“Does your cousin know Garth Brooks?”

That results in a multitude of calls asking if my cousin knows a particular singer or could get tickets for an event. Many of my friends beg me to introduce them to him in hopes he will, in turn, introduce them to their favorite singer or at least score some tickets. My cousin is much more than a means to meet Country Music Stars or receive free tickets, but people only see the sparkle of the limelight.

We often talk about stars, famous singers, actors, and authors we have met or just seen in passing. Facebook abounds with selfies of people standing next to someone everyone knows. I have seen pictures at restaurants and airplanes. Fame intrigues us. We want to feel important by being in the same place with someone famous. People yearn to know celebrities.

What star do you know?

Does you cousin know Garth Brooks? Nyla Kay Wilkerson talks about being Star Struck at HeartWings BlogHow about you? Do you know a star or someone that can introduce you to one? Of course, you do. We all do. In fact, there is no one more famous or important than that person or His contact. It is Jesus. Jesus is our way to God our Father. He is the one who intercedes for us.

John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Wow. Let me tell you, it does not get any more important than that! I am all in, a follower, a believer.

What if you are the one person that needs to make the introduction of your loved one to Jesus? You have the opportunity for Jesus to shine so brightly through you that others will see Him. They will want to know Him because of you. Shouldn’t you introduce them? He is able to get you into the biggest and best party ever. The music there makes concerts here sound ridiculous. He is a humble person but royalty. Talk about star power! Jesus outshines everyone. He is the King of Kings, the Bright and Morning Star.

“Fairest Lord Jesus…”

🎵Fair is the sunshine,
Fairer still the moonlight,
And all the twinkling starry host;
Jesus shines brighter,
Jesus shines purer,
Than all the angels heav’n can boast!🎵

Are you sharing your famous connection with your loved ones or keeping the most famous One of all to yourself?
