“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”
– 2 Corinthians 9:15 NKJV*

This world is filled with people walking around who have committed sins against the Most High God. We have lied, stolen, cheated, dishonored our parents, committed adultery, etc.

Our sins stain our hearts, and we walk around with an albatross around our necks, carrying a bucket filled to the brim with our guilt and shame. It sloshes over as we struggle to make it from day to day.

Until that day comes where we go to the well and meet a Man who offers us the cup of life. He removes our yoke of bondage, wiping our slate clean. As we take a sip of that life-giving water, freedom enters our soul and peace floods our hearts.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”
– 2 Corinthians 9:15 NKJV*

Darkness is eradicated as we lift our faces to the Son, letting His light shine upon us. That glorious light empowers us go out, to be used for the Most High God’s glory. We don’t have to worry about the darkness snaring us again, because Jesus has already beaten it. We’re equipped to fight the evil of this age, because He had the victory. We’re simply biding our time to catch up with His.

I can’t imagine the sins you’ve committed. Can’t imagine what you’re going through. But thanks be to God for removing us from a life of unrighteousness and deeming us righteous through the beautiful sacrifice of His Son. When we stand before the Judge to receive our sentence hearing, we have no fear. For our Friend, Jesus Christ, will step in and say “paid in full.” Even better, we won’t be deemed rehabilitated or deemed simply worthy to participate with society. No, we’ll pass through the gates and party (worship) with the angels as daughters of the Most High God.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”

As you journey through life today, stop and take a moment to look at your life and notice the footprints of Jesus. Look at the many blessings that abound in your life. Not because your worthy, but because He is.

Have you thanked Him for His indescribable gift?
